Dictaphone Desk Calculator

This Dictaphone desk calculator has 16 digits and has two memories. Special functions include Square Root and Sum. The decimal place can be set for 5/4, 2, adding machine function, automatic, or set to a user-specified number of places by sliding the white tab shown in the last two images to the desired decimal place. There are four small white movable pointers which serve as optical guides for the user. The unit takes almost a second to perform a square root calculation. This was rescued from a scrapyard. It's dirty but works ok, indeed it worked when plugged in! Why would someone throw away someting as fine as this? People just don't appreciate the finer things in life.
