This is not a project for sissies.
If you have the guts to complete a project like this, enter at your own risk. It took us a long time, 12 days due to delays getting some grade 8 3/4" bolts in, but we used the time to get other smaller jobs on the vehicle done. Fortunately it was Winter and the temperature was a nice cool 4 degrees F for our outdoor work and that helped. We built it and drove it back to Texas from Illinois in 2 days on a bad PT pump. We do stuff like this because we can. Looks nice in the driveway too.

Later, the generator cover was finished and the 2-speed transfer case was exchanged with one from an M939 to make the redline speed 69.2MPH, up from 54MPH. This allowed many miles of Texas highway driving and a good share of both work and fun.
