The coil there is the antenna coupling coil. Its ends are directly inderneath the two center holes in the top panel of the transmitter. When I got the unit, the panel was loose. In the past, someone did not know that the entire unit is loosened and removed by two convenient and very obvious thumbscrews on the bottom. Instead they pulled the screws out of the top and forced it off, busting the 6-pole 3 position tone/code selector switch. Whomever did this idiotic thing.. I reserve comment!
