"Tyranny is so generally established in the rest of the world that the prospect of an asylum in America for those who love liberty gives general joy, and our cause is esteemed the cause of all mankind. "We are fighting for the dignity and happiness of human nature. Glorious it is for the Americans to be called by Providence to this post of honour. Cursed and detested will everyone be that deserts or betrays it." -Benjamin Franklin

Normally I would not invest so much time in such a thing, but some CB-shack screwdriver monkey had so buggered up this neat 40 year old amplifier that I took pity on it and rebuilt it a bit better than before. Now it's in my personal "RF Power Amplifier" collection. When is a "CB Linear" legal? When it is used on 10 or 12 meter ham bands of course!
Lafayette Electronics Catalog 1971 edition -A blast from the past! This is one of four supplement/sale catalogs produced each year by Lafayette. It is not their full line catalog which is produced once each year. This has always been Lafayette's policy except for year's 1978/79 when there was only one catalog.
See page 104 for some 6M gear and a tube type mobile linear amp. -I have one of those amps!

VAX is natural, VAX is good. Not everyone's got |D|I|G|I|T|A|L| but everybody should.. I WANT YOUR VAX (with preamble) I WANT YOUR VAX The words, so you can sing along! This said, there is reportedly a video. Anyone know who recorded this song, or where I can find the video? Ever listen to the shortwave radio? Here's an old recording of a pirate radio program segment from the "Voice of Revolutionary Vinco". For best results, use your winamp or other equalizer to cut off all frequencies above 6 KHz. It's amazing the thousands of things you can find on the shortwave radio. Ancient music recorded from ancient 78 RPM records (you know, records, -those large black "CD's" with the funny small center hole and finely grooved surfaces, about the size of LaserDiscs (you know, LaserDiscs, -those large old-style "DVD's" with the funny large center hole)).
