When I arrived at 10PM, the unit had been disassembled to the point of removing the shaft. Since the shaft is pressed into the runner with a 0.002 - 0.003" interference fit, it was taking some time to remove the 30-ton shaft and a couple of shifts had already been spent getting it free. It was now held in place by a 150 ton crane. The nuts and bolts there at the top are larger than they look. If I recall, the bolts are at least 3" diameter. The thrightmost image shows the machinery pit to be empty except the shaft.
