Picture is of Brian and myself in front of his 'new' 1952 REO V17A military truck. The V17A is very rare. This truck was used for wireline maintenance, in conjunction with a polesetting truck of the same size. Like many ex-military vehicles, this one has seen local emergency service usage and will need alot of restoration, but I can see it has potential and is certainly worthwhile. I had lunch with Brian and his dad Alan.

Brian and his wife own an Italian restaurant. I would highly reccomend anyone traveling on I-55 OR State HWY 3 south of st. Louis stop in the friendly town of Chester IL and enjoy some fine pizza or other Italian fare. His wife is truly a fine chef and as you may see by the picture, I am somewhat of an expert on cusine, heh.. Now, I'm not pulling an ad for the place, just want to share my good fortune in being invited to it! In any case, get the heck off the highway for an hour or so and have a nice relaxing lunch or dinner with your family in pleasant surroundings.

Brian and Alan also have a metalworks and industrial service in Chester, "McCloud Metalworks & Industrial Services". If you need anything, look them up These guys are both very accomplished experts in the field and can handle the project from initial consultation to hands-on completion.
