All I can say is that these pole-pig cores are kind of scary. Each transformer comprises half of the total secondary voltage for the full-wave center-tap rectifier arrangement, and each is under load for half of the AC cycle. This may seem inefficient, but it works well since the transformers are oversized and each can supply 1 amp easily.
