The final amplifier filament supply is adjustable by a front panel control and the voltage is measured at the 4-1000 socket. The image shows the TRANSTAT model 29144 made by American Transformer Company. This is a special type of variable autotransformer with an input of 115V and an output of 103-126V to allow +/-10% adjustment of this critical voltage. The contacts slide back and forth across a flat coil.
