The screen voltage supply for the final 4-1000 amplifier uses a separate filament and plate transformer. Screen voltage is controlled with a front-panel variable autotransformer. Some shameful person had cut the wires going to this subassembly, and absconded with it. I had to hunt this person down, and beg the power supply back, and here it is at last in its proper place. The number of wires bespeaks the level of interlocking and protection implemented in the transmitter.
